Prior to founding the company, the principals had consulted upon and written custom factoring platform solutions for a large domestic factor and had operated a successful network consulting company. In 1998, sensing an unmet need in the factoring marketplace, they set out to develop a commercially marketable accounts receivable management platform. A year later they incorporated Bayside Business Solutions as a California corporation and introduced FactorSoft. After the successful implementation of several initial customers, market acceptance grew, and today no factoring portfolio management solution enjoys greater success.

In 2003 Bayside opened its operations center in Birmingham, Alabama, and combined implementation, support, and development under one roof. In 2007, Bayside outgrew is suburban facility and moved into new, larger accommodations in the heart of downtown Birmingham, where it continues to grow significantly in terms of clients, revenue, and staff.
The 2007 development of Cadence, Bayside's latest product offering in commercial lending, was in recognition of the growing requirement of clients and the marketplace for flexibility in lending products.
Bayside designed Cadence in such a way to allow factoring, asset based lending, trade finance (future), and other yet-to-be-defined loan products to live on a single platform, allowing for the monitoring of different collaterals for the same client.
In 2008, Bayside International was created to serve the accounts receivable financing and asset based lending market in the U.K., Western Europe, and the emerging markets in Eastern Europe and Africa. With offices located in London, Bayside was fortunate to staff it first international office with a seasoned veteran of both the business and software providers.
